Tangail Sadar:

The city of Tangail is located in Dhaka Division, Central Bangladesh. Dhaka to Tangail distance 2 hour 28 min (83.4 km) via Dhaka – Tangail Highway.

Mawlana Bhashani Science & Technology University:   

Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University is the 12th oldest public university and second science and technology specialized PhD granting public university in Bangladesh focusing in science, technology and business. It is named after the charismatic political leader Mawlana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhashani Abdul Hamid Khan Bhashani shortened as Maulana Bhashani, was a Bengali politician. His political tenure spanned the British colonial India, Pakistan and Bangladesh periods. Bhashani died on 17 November 1976 in Dhaka, Bangladesh, aged 96, and was buried at Santosh, Tangail Mawlana Bhashani Science & Technology University

1. Kumudini Hospital

Kumudini Hospital was established in 1944 by the philanthropist Ranada Prasad shaha.Starting from 20 beds it now has 750 beds .The hospital used to provide complete free service. However, from 1993 the Trust started a Patient’s Participation Program for which the patients are to pay just for their medication. The outdoor patients have to buy a card worth of taka 10.00 only, which is valid for six months and within this time the patients can utilize all sorts of outdoor facilities with this card. In case of emergency there is a separate arrangement as well

201 Gombuj Masjid:

The 201 Dome Mosque is a large mosque under construction in South Pathalia village, Bangladesh. Construction of the mosque began in 2013 on 15 bighas of land on the east bank of the Jhenai River in South Pathalia village, Nagda Simla Union, Gopalpur Upazila, and Tangail District, Bangladesh. It is being built by the Heroic Freedom Fighter Mohammad Rafiqul Islam Welfare Trust. The estimated cost of construction is BDT 100 crore. The mosque is expected to have a capacity of about 3,000 devotees. The mosque is a square building. There are four 101-foot high corner towers, and four shorter 81-foot high towers at the corners of the square space covered by the 81-foot central dome. The central dome is surrounded by 200 smaller 17-foot domes. An adjacent 451-foot high minaret is planned immediately to the southwest. It is expected to be the highest minaret in Bangladesh. The western wall of the mosque will be inscribed with the entire Qur’an. In addition to the main worship space, the mosque complex will house an orphanage, an elder care home, and a hospital with free treatment. The complex will feature a helipad in order to host dignitaries

201 Gombuj Mosjid

Dhanbari:

The last tribe of Tangail district is Dhanbari Upazila. The Upazila consists of 6 unions and covers an area of 130.20 sq. km. In this Upazila there is red soil in many places. This Upazila is famous for paddy and 13 big paddy mills are located in this area. Dhanbari Nawab Manzil is locally known as Nawab Bari. This is now owned by the descendants of Nawab Ali Chowdhury. They have been taking a good care of this palace and also built several cottages inside the premise for the tourists for staying. This is the only heritage resort from our Bangladesh. This is also known as Dhanbari Royal Resort. Inside the premise is very much neat and clean, adequate amount of stuffs and guards are around there to take care of everything.

Ghatail is a town of Ghatail Upazila, Tangail, Bangladesh. The town is situated 33 kilometers north of Tangail city and 114 kilometers northwest of Dhaka city, the capital of Bangladesh. Ghatail Upazila- with an area of 451.30 sq. km, is bounded by gopalpur and madhupur upazilas on the north, fulbaria and bhaluka upazilas on the east, kalihati and sakhipur upazilas on the south, bhuapur and Gopalpur upazilas on the west. Main rivers are bangshi, Jhenai, Lohajang, and Salisundar. Noted hills are Deopara, Dhalapara and Sagardighi.Historical events During the War of Liberation a Pakistan military cargo carrying arms and ammunitions was captured by the Muktibahini under the leadership of Habibur Rahman (Bir Bikram). Kalihati:

It has a historical background during the liberation war in 1971. A great child of this land named Kader Siddiqui who later gained the great title “Bir Uttom” for his contribution to the war. After the liberation war he gave 32 trucks of weapons to the government. In the liberation period he formed a group named “Kaderia Bahini” with the brave Bengalese. The “Kaderia Bahini” was very ferocious against the Pakistanis. The Kalihati thana was established in 1928 and was turned into an upazila in 1983.

Basail:

Basail is an upazila of Tangail District. It has 27481 households and total area 157.78 km2.Basail Upazila is divided into six union parishads. Their main attraction Chapra Bill.in the rainy season people are coming for visit this chapra bill. It’s so beautiful.

Delduar:  

Delduar Upazila is divided into eight union parishads: Atia, Delduar, Deoli, Dubail, Elashin, Fazilhati, Lauhati, and Pathrail. The union parishads are subdivided into 123 mauzas and 162 villages.

History:

It was constructed between 1610 and 1611 CE. This was during the reign of Mughal emperor Jahangir, when the Emperor gifted the Pargana of Atia to Sayeed Khan Panni, the son of Bayezid Khan Panni of the Karatia Zamindari. Panni instructed for the mosque to be built and it was built in honor of Shahan Shah Baba Adam Kashmiri, a prominent Sufi saint of Atia who died in 1507 CE and whose Mazar is in close proximity to the mosque.
